A premix for a classic, creamy and smooth cheesecake. The Bakels Gourmet Cheesecake mix is easily prepared, versatile and can produce both baked and cold-set cheesecakes.

Ingredients

• 1 kg Bakels Gourmet Cheesecake Mix
• 750 g Water

Method

1. Pour the water into a mixing bowl.
2. Add the Bakels Gourmet Cheesecake Mix.
3. Whisk on high speed for approximately 3 minutes, or until the mixture is light and smooth.
4. Press 50 g of biscuit crumb base evenly into the bottom of each 15 cm foil container.
5. Fill each base with 275 g of the cheesecake mixture.
6. Smooth the top with a spatula until level.
7. Refrigerate until firm before serving.

Yield: Makes approximately 5 x 15 cm cheesecakes.

Biscuit Crumb Base (Optional)

To make the biscuit crumb base, combine:

• 1 kg biscuit crumbs
• 15 g cinnamon
• 500 g cake margarine

Mix until well combined before pressing into the foil containers.
